14th International Comet Assay Workshop
& Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society meeting
Welcome to the website of the Joint ICAW and EEMGS meeting
14th International Comet Assay Workshop (ICAW) will take place
in Maastricht, the Netherlands on May 23rd - 26th, 2022 *.
In 2022, the 14th ICAW meeting will also include EEMGS (Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society) meeting.
* Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic situation, the 14th International Comet Assay Workshop (ICAW) was postponed from 2021 to 2022.

Newly formed International Comet Assay Working Group (ICAWG) within the EEMGS
International Comet Assay Working Group (ICAWG) was founded as a specialist interest group
of the European Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society (EEMGS) in 2020.
ICAWG was created by hCOMET COST-Action (CA15132) members and organizers of the ICAW.
ICAWG exists to unit those scientists working in the field of genetic toxicology, DNA damage and DNA repair with interest in the comet assay.
Everyone interested in these topics is welcome to join the ICAWG group!

About International Comet Assay Workshops (ICAW)
The International Comet Assay Workshops (ICAW) are a series of scientific conferences dealing with practical and theoretical aspects of the Comet Assay, aimed at both experienced and new users of this popular technique.
Since 1995 the ICAW has been organized every 2 years.
The workshops have always been rather informal. They began as a satellite to the 2nd International Conference on Environmental Mutagens.
The first five meetings in this series were called simply 'Comet Assay Workshops'. 'International' was added in 2005. At that time, the Comet Assay community was small, but in the meantime, has grown exponentially as did the popularity of this assay. All are equal, and the newest recruits can readily share ideas with the old-timers.
